Markilux Pergola Compact
The Markilux Pergola Compact is a space-saving pergola awning designed for smaller patios and balconies, combining the graceful shape of the classic pergola with state-of-the-art product design and sophisticated German engineering. Supported by slender front posts and lateral guide tracks that maintain constant fabric tension, it delivers reliable sun and all-weather protection, without compromising on style. Expertly installed across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent by AQ Blinds.
The Pergola Compact is the ideal solution for homeowners looking to make the most of a smaller outdoor area. Its angular, compact full cassette (125 × 125 mm) completely protects the retracted awning cover, and Markilux Tracfix guide track technology creates a gap-free seal between the cover and the track, improving both wind stability and overall appearance. The result is a robust, weatherproof awning system built to perform in the British climate.
Available in dimensions of up to 450 × 400 cm (width × projection) and covering up to 18 square metres, the Pergola Compact is made to measure and manufactured in Germany to the exacting standards Markilux is renowned for. The system carries wind resistance class 3 certification (up to Beaufort force 6 / 38–48 km/h) and is available with hardwired motor, radio-controlled motor, or smart home operation.
A product recognised for both engineering and design excellence: the Pergola Compact won the German Design Award in 2018 and the Red Dot Design Award in 2017.

Pergola awning Installation in Reading
Our brief was very simple and to the point – Our customer required an awning to run the full 8.5 meters across the back of the house and cover the terrace area to provide shade and rain protection from above as well as low sun in the evening that shone directly into the lounge.
Pergola awning Installation in Godalming, Surrey
Our client in Godalming wanted to add an awning to his property as part of a major re-fit including a patio and garden makeover. We were invited to visit the site for discussions.
Pergola Installation in Purley, Surrey
Our client, Mr W, contacted AQ Blinds looking for coverage for the terrace area at his house in Purley, Surrey.
The project brief only really detailed the problem the client had. In addition to this, the fitting area was a single-story part of the house and a single awning (without special spreader support plates) would have also caused a structural problem. The area was approximately 8 meters by 5 meters with York flagstone paving.
