We are fundamentally changing how we select materials and work with partners to reduce our environmental footprint before materials or products even reaches our factory.
Our Factory Environment & Recycling Initiatives
Our commitment extends to our own operations and ensuring we manage the full lifecycle of our products, including packaging and end-of-life options.
Operational Transformation: Our manufacturing and showroom facility based in Crawley has been transformed. We have looked at how we operate, how we heat, cool, and light our facility to significantly reduce our environmental impact.
- Solar panels located on the roof supply and store power to use in everyday operation for lighting and heating.
- Modern LED lighting is fitted throughout with automated sensor on/off use for energy saving in general areas.
- We have replaced our gas forklift with a modern re-chargeable battery version.
- Our waste packaging is now divided and dealt with independently. Our cardboard representing 60% of our general waste is now recycled using a bundle crush compactor and recycled through third party collections to reduce our land-fill waste and all metal fabrication including steel and aluminium is treated in the same way and recycled through third party collections.
- We have introduced a Product Take-Back and Recycling Scheme for old blinds. This allows customers to responsibly return components and materials to us for recycling or repurposing at the end of the product’s lifespan, ensuring materials are kept in use and out of landfill.
