“Bring life” to The Tea Terrace was the brief when we were asked to help in creating a visual scope as well as a sheltered area for the many passing clients, dog walkers, joggers and tourists in Battersea Park.
Working with odd against us, we had almost no fixing area, an unbalanced angular shape and limited headway (law restricted) and were asked to make a visual statement as well as providing shelter as the Tea Terrace had a great passing trade but found when it was raining they had no shelter which impacted on people stopping for a coffee or a bacon roll.
Utilising our experience, we designed a fixed triangular awning frame and fitted a showerproof covering to this and created the shelter that was required. Adding to this we installed a free hanging valance including sign writing to complete the installation and create the visual part of the request.
Now The Tea Terrace has the best-looking bar in Battersea Park.
